Business systems are examples of dynamic and evolving complexity marked by change at all levels (individual, team, organizational, national, and global). The system is non-linear, non-Gaussian, with adaptive, power law distributions resting at equilibrium only temporarily affected by "creative destructions" occurring when paradigms shift resulting in different and similar elements in a non-ergodic state. The rational view of business is replaced by realization that uncertainty exists and the best we can do is approximate risks.
